One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez

I honestly don’t know how one even begins to discuss this book in literary circles; it’s so brimming with story, with themes of both overt and subtle musings and hauntings and enchantments of the heart, and all told with a pacing that’s breakneck yet with the grace of a sage, that it feels like a novel one truly reads and appreciates and explores in solitude—that it cannot be, as perhaps many other classics can, so easily discussed in honest and simple language. With a close friend in the evening with the lights turned down, maybe so.
